ISLAMABAD: The notification, that was issued to summon Inspector General (IG) Gilgit Baltistan Hussain Asghar investigating Hajj corruption case,  was presented in the Supreme Court. The apex court ordered the IG to immediately appear in the court , DawnNews reported.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case.

Secretary Establishment told the court that orders have been issued to Hussain Asghar to immediately report to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

A regulatory action will be taken against the IG on non-compliance of the orders, the notification said.

The copy of the notification was also submitted in the apex court.

The chief justice praised the efforts of Attorney General Irfan Qadir for his efforts for the implementation of the court's order.

The hearing of the case has been subsequently adjourned till June 20.
