KARACHI: Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and his doubles partner Jean-Julien Rojer qualified for the French Open semi-finals in Paris on Tuesday after their opponents had to forfeit.

The Pak-Dutch duo had won the first set 6-4 against third-seeded pair of Michael Llodra of France and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia and were up 2-1 in the second set when Llodra had to forfeit due to a back injury.

The Estoril Open champions will be facing Mike and Bob Bryan of the United States in the semi-final whom they recently defeated in the Madrid Open.

This is the first time Qureshi has qualified for the French Open semis, previously only qualifying for the quarter finals with his partner Rohan Bopanna.

Pakistan's most successful tennis player, whose ranking recently dropped from 14 to 16, is hoping to reach the Roland Garros final in order to qualify for the 2012 London Olympics.
