HEARTIEST congratulations to Moosa Feroz, a 13-year-old child from Phalia, Punjab, who stood first in online mathematics competition organised by Australia.
It is worth mentioning that 1.4 million participants took the exam. The brilliant young child has been appointed as an ambassador of mathematics by Australia.
After the late Arfa Karim various students shone in the field of education, endorsing the fact that this land has great potential to excel in all fields.
Our youngsters are making impressions in the international arena which is indeed great. It is worth mentioning here that these records are set facing financial as well as appropriate training constraints.
Such achievements are worth applauding! However, it is sad to know that the government has so far given a cold shoulder to this bright student.
The government must patronise this shining star for further skill nourishment so that he may flourish, bloom and glow in the world to earn more respect and glory for Pakistan.
The government must announce some lucrative stipend and necessary training for further grooming him.
These young willows are sprouting and bringing fragrance of success for the country that is already marred by the menace of terrorism. Supporting and encouraging them is our national responsibility.
In the words of Allama Iqbal: Zara num ho to yeh mitti bari zarkhaiz hai saqi (If given proper care, this soil has great potential).
