KOHAT, March 16: Police arrested a proclaimed offender in injured condition and seized weapons, including hand-grenades, during a raid on a hideout of criminals in Kachai area on Hangu road here on Friday, officials said.

They said that the arms seized from the accused, identified as Hussain Shah, included eight hand-grenades, one each sniper rifle, small machinegun and shot gun besides dozens of cartridges.

The police said that during the raid firing was exchanged between the criminals and police elite force. As a result Hussain Shah, who was wanted in crime cases, was arrested in injured condition.

The accused was shifted to Ustarzai police station where a new case was registered against him. LAND RECORD:

Commissioner Kohat Sahibzada Muhammad Anees has ordered the regional revenue officers to complete all pending four years land record by end of this month.

He was chairing a quarterly meeting of the regional revenue officers at his office here on Friday. Additional commissioner Kohat division Zakir Khan, district revenue officers Arshad Naveed of Kohat, Ali Mohammad of Hangu and Abdul Hameed of Karak attended the meeting.

Briefing the commissioner, they said that four years record of land in Kohat, Hangu and Karak was pending with the patwaris and tehsil staff. They said that the Kohat staff had made hundred per cent recovery of revenue. Mr Anees asked the officers to complete the land record by end March and submit a report to him.
