Reach the skies

Lifeless yet grandeur scenes from Pakistan we barely get to see nowadays. These views are from Fairy Meadows, found in the north of Pakistan at about three hours drive from Gilgit. Located at a height of over 3000 meters, it is accessible from mid-spring to mid-autumn and has both camping sites as well as huts to accommodate tourists. On one end of these green alpine pastures is a village while on the other is the base camp of the mighty Nanga Parbat. – Photos by Uzair Khan/Dawn.com
