KARACHI, Sept 5: National Bank of Pakistan has offered five different packages to the unemployed youth under the President’s Rozgar Scheme officially launched on Tuesday.

The scheme aims at creating employment through easy credit to unemployed educated youth in the country. The bank offers NBP Karobar Utility, NBP Karobar Mobile General Store, NBP Karobar Transport, NBP Karobar PCO and NBP Karobar tele-centre. NBP will provide up to Rs100,000 for setting up of a small-scale retail outlet or mobile utility store. Mobile general store has also been deigned on the pattern of mobile utility stores, and a sum of Rs100,000 will be provided for the scheme.

Also Rs100,000 will be provided under the transport scheme and the amount would be given for financing two and three wheeler, four strokes CNG, LPG vehicle. For a public call office (PCO), the NBP will provide financing for buying a mobile or wireless telephone set with connection and credit balance. The amount is Rs5,000.

NBP will provide up to Rs50,000 for setting up a tele-centre for buying a telephone set with connection, computer printer and fax machine-cum-photocopier, etc.
