Protest with a difference

BILIN, July 14: It was a protest with a difference, by a newly-wed couple (pictured right). Palestinian Mansoor Mansoor, 29, and Iman Hammad, 24, American of Palestinian origin -– held shortly after their wedding near an Israeli border police post at the construction site of the separation barrier built by the Israelis in this village, near the West Bank town of Ramallah, on Friday.

As many as twenty-six Palestinians, including the bride, an international peace activist, and two Israeli border police officers were injured when police broke up the celebration.
