MIRPURKHAS: The body of a peasant was found floating in Puran Shakh (irrigation channel) near 10-Mile Mori in Kot Ghulam Mohammad taluka on Sunday.

Police fished out the body and took it to the KGM Taluka Hospital, where the deceased was identified as Nanji Kolhi, son of Shamji Kolhi, a resident of Mumtaz Khoso village, Jhuddo taluka.

The body was spotted by some passers-by in the early hours of the day and they reported the matter to the local police.

A post-mortem examination was performed at the hospital to establish the actual cause of his death.
