PESHAWAR: Mushaira held

PESHAWAR, March 9: A mushaira of Urdu, Pushto and Hindko was held by the culture committee of the press club on Thursday to celebrate the onset of spring. Prominent poet Rehmat Shah Sail presided over the mushaira.

Farooq Firaq, Aziz Ejaz, Nasir Ali Syed, Hassam Hur, Izharullah Izhar, Sajid Sarhadi, Hasina Gul Tanha, Abaseen Yousafzay, Sajjad Babar, Noorul Bashar Naveed, Nazir Tabassum, Raj Wali Shah Khattak and Mohammad Taha Khan presented their poetry. The audience specially appreciated the poetry depicting the plight of Afghan refugees and social problems like terrorism, intolerance and violence.—Correspondent
