SWABI: One labourer was killed and two others were injured when roof of an under-construction house collapsed in a village of Topi tehsil here on Thursday.

Police and local residents said that the incident occurred in Mohallah Radavan of Maini village. The labourers were removing the shuttering from roof in the house of one Gulzar Ahmad, which was constructed about 10-day ago.

The roof suddenly collapsed and the labourers were buried alive under the debris. Other workers soon started crying for help and the Rescue 1122 was called for the rescue operation.

They recovered body of one labourer and shifted the two injured to Bacha Khan Hospital Complex, Shahmansoor. The killed worker was identified as Waqas Khan and the injured as Awais Khan and Hasham Khan.
