KARACHI: Despite Abdul Raziq excelling with a scintillating century, Munawwar Sports suffered a three-wicket defeat against Pak Star CC in the latest round of matches in the All-Karachi Prof Ejaz Faruqi Invitation Cricket Tournament here on Wednesday.
Batting first at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground, Munawwar Sports were dismissed for 202 in 39.3 overs with Raziq alone contributing 103 from 97 deliveries while striking nine boundaries and four sixes.
Pak Star CC then reached 205-7 in 30 overs to seal victory.
Paceman Rashid Awan grabbed 6-17 to help Rizvia Sports trounced New Sangham CC by nine wickets at the TMC Ground.
In the day’s third mach at the KCCA Stadium, seamer Saifullah starred with 5-30 as Al-Rehman whipped Islam Gymkhana by seven wickets.
