Belgian King’s Day celebrated

Ambassador of Belgium Philippe Bronchain hosted a reception to celebrate Belgian King’s Day at his residence.

The event was attended by members of the Belgian community in Islamabad, government representatives, guests from the business sector, diplomatic corps and civil society.

Ambassador Bronchain spoke at the reception of the encouraging relations between Pakistan and Belgium, highlighting their positive trajectory.

Ali M0hammad Khan, state minister of parliamentary affairs, was the chief guest on the occasion.

The King’s Day feast was first celebrated in honour of King Leopold I, who was the first monarch of Belgium following its independence from the Netherlands in 1831, and has been celebrated since 1866.
