GUJRANWALA: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) arrested a man who raped 11 minors and made their inappropriate videos here on Wednesday.

A case of child abuse was reported in the area of Ahmadnagar police station a few days back.

City Police Officer Dr Moeen Masood tasked the CIA police with the case.

CIA DSP Imran Abbas Chadhar said they traced the suspect through CCTV videos and during interrogation he confessed to raping children and making their videos.

He said the suspect lured children to his place for playing video games.

The police seized footages from his laptop.

ARRESTED: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) arrested on Wednesday a social organiser, a unit in charge, a building inspector and a patwari for corruption.

ACE Regional Director Zohaib Mushtaq said the Punjab Rural Support Programme (PRSP) district manager submitted an application to the ACE that two PRSP officials, field unit in charge Asad Iqbal and an assistant, stole millions from funds through tampering with record. In another case, citizen Noman Ahmed stated that building inspector Hafeez Butt from the Municipal Corporation, Gujranwala, took bribe from investors to provide them with No Objection Certificates.

The ACE team arrested him in his office. Also, Suhail Anjum, a patwari of Kamoke, was arrested for issuing a bogus land treaty and occupied 80 kanals and 10 marlas of land. A woman, of Gujrat, said Shafiq Ahmed, a member of land grabber gang, occupied her 6 kanals through a fake identity card.

The ACE arrested the accused.
