Missing man found dead

KHAR: Body of a man, who had been missing for four days, was found in the fields in Mamond tehsil of Bajaur tribal district on Thursday.

Local residents and officials of Levies force said that the body of a man, later identified as Waheed Gul of Irab area of Mamond tehsil, with torture marks was recovered from fields in Tarkhoo area on Thursday at about 10am.

The officials said that a team of Levies personnel reached the area soon after receiving information about the presence of the body from the local people.

The official said that the body was shifted to the district headquarters hospital, Khar, for examination and identification. He said that the victim was later identified as Waheed Gul of Irab area of Mamond tehsil.

He said that the body was handed over to his family, saying the victim was missing from his native town for the last four days. He added that the Levies force had launched investigation into the incident. Relatives of the victim told mediapersons that Waheed Gul, 35, was missing from his native town since Monday. They said that he had no personal enmity with anyone in the area. They said that they had asked the people of various areas to inform them if they found any clue to the missing man.
