Shimron Hetmyer
West Indies

THREE years ago Shimron Hetmyer led West Indies to the ICC Under-19 World Cup title in Bangladesh. Now an established member of the senior side, the Guyanese left-handed batsman is still struggling to come into his own. But there is no denying he is a talented individual with qualities that could see him lead the West Indies in the future. However, Hetmyer is in search of big runs after getting two decent starts.

Tamim Iqbal
Bangladesh

ARGUABLY the finest opening batsman to play for Bangladesh, Tamim Iqbal has had a low key World Cup thus far despite getting into double figures in all three matches. Given his stature, the 30-year-old left-hander from Chittagong is definitely overdue to make amends. Hailing from a family that produced two internationals in his older brother Nafees and uncle Akram Khan, Tamim has surpassed both of them in terms of success.
