PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party has finalised plan for its province-wide protest to be launched on Sunday against the unprecedented price hike and policies of the government.

In this connection, ANP issued schedule of protest in a meeting held here on Saturday, according to a press statement. It said that ANP central president Asfandyar Wali Khan would lead the protest demonstration in his native town Charsadda.

Asfandyar’s son and ANP provincial president Aimal Wali Khan will address the protest demonstration in Sawabi after which he will move to Mohmand tribal district to lead another protest rally there.

ANP senior vice president MNA Haider Khan Hoti will address the protest rally in Mardan while provincial general secretary of the party Sardar Hussain Babak will lead the protest demonstration in Buner.

The protest of ANP will be headed by its veteran leader Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour and MPA Khushdil Khan in the provincial capital while Saqibullah Khan and Zahid Khan will address the rallies in Nowshera.

Zahid Khan, Eng Saleem and Khan Nawaz will lead anti-government rallies in Swat, Lower Dir and Malakand, respectively.

According to the press release, protest demonstrations will be staged in the district press clubs.
