GWADAR: Police and Levies personnel arrested six suspects on Monday who along with four others had escaped from a police lockup on Sunday night.

The police personnel, who were on duty when the suspects escaped, have also been taken into custody and a case has been registered against them.

Ten suspects, who had been arrested for their alleged involvement in murder, attempt to murder, drug business, theft, robberies and other heinous crimes, had escaped from Gwadar police station after taking a constable hostage.

The culprits injured the police constable when he tried to stop them from fleeing. They had also taken away official weapons from the police station.

Four suspects were arrested in the Degree College area. “Two more suspects were captured on Monday at house,” a senior police officer said.
