KARACHI: Certain parts of the city, including Clifton, Gulshan-i-Iqbal and Liaquatabad, will remain without electricity for 14 hours in the coming days due to upgrade in power infrastructure.

A spokesperson for the power utility said on Monday that K-Electric teams would be installing and commissioning power infrastructure at its Gulshan, Qayyumabad and Clifton grids under its Transmission Enhancement and Upgradation Project, TP-1000.

He said that power supply to parts of those areas might be affected as per the following schedule: On March 20 power supply to a few areas of Gulshan, Nazimabad, Liaquatabad, would remain affected between 7am-9pm; on March 24 power supply to a few areas of Korangi and Qayyumabad would remain affected between 7am-9pm and on March 26 power supply to a few areas of Clifton would remain affected between 7am-7pm.
