KARACHI: A teenager was found murdered here on Thursday in the Surjani Town area, according to police. They added the body of a young man stuffed in a gunny bag with his throat slit was recovered from bushes near a college in Sector 7-A.

The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to fulfil legal formalities where he was identified as Mohammed Asif, 18, said area SHO Idris Bangash.

Quoting relatives, the officer said the victim was a motorbike mechanic. He had left his home in Sector L of Surjani at around 7am in search of work, but he was apparently kidnapped, killed and later on his body was thrown where it was found at 12.35pm. The family told the police that they had no enmity with anyone.

The police were trying to ascertain the identity and motive of the killer(s).

15 Indian fishermen arrested

The Maritime Security Agency (MSA) on Thursday claimed to have arrested 15 Indian fishermen over illegal fishing in the territorial limits of Pakistan.

The MSA carried out an action in the open sea and apprehended the fishermen and seized three boats from their custody. Ships and speedboats took part in the action.

After initial probe, the held fishermen were handed over to Docks police for further legal action, said a spokesperson.
