QUEST exam result

Published December 11, 2018

IT has become a norm for the Quaid-i-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology administration to announce the exam result after a year. I am studying in the seventh semester but still awaiting my fifth semester result.

Many students come to the university from far flung areas and face problems in their commute. Almost 150 students from Kazi Ahmad and surrounding areas are enrolled which is about 30 kilometres from the university. The students have no option except public transport and this is especially hard on the girls. Given the number of students, at least two university point buses service this area. The students’ requests in this respect have gone unheard.

The civil engineering faculty is lacking in adequate instruments and materials. Many a time students have no choice except to perform their practical in a group with just a single instrument or sometimes none at all.

The university administration and higher authorities need to resolve these issues.
