RAWALPINDI: A couple were caught with 3.48kg of ice heroin during passenger check-in for a flight leaving for Saudi Arabia via Dubai at the Islamabad International Airport on Thursday.

According to the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF), the drugs were concealed in a prayer mat which was put in the hand luggage of a passenger getting on board Emirates Airlines flight EK-615

The passengers were identified as Khaista Rehman and his wife Lal Bibi.

Yesterday, the Airport Security Force foiled a bid to smuggle 980 grams of ice heroin to Saudi Arabia and arrested a passenger at the Islamabad International Airport.

The accused was identified as Mohammad Niqash, a resident of Swabi who was later handed over to ANF.
