LAHORE: Sindh fought back from two goals down to level the final of the PFF National U-15 Football Championship before beating Punjab in a 4-1 in a penalty shootout to clinch the title in remarkable fashion at the Punjab Stadium here on Tuesday.

Punjab took a fifth-minute lead through Wasif’s field goal before Hammad doubled their advantage two minutes into the second half only for Sindh to hit back through Mohibullah in the 53rd before Aamir levelled matters 13 minutes later.

With the momentum on their side, Sindh then won the shootout to lift the title and take the cash prize of Rs300,000. Punjab pocketed Rs200,000, while Islamabad, who beat Balochistan 2-0 in the third-place match, got Rs100,000.

Balochistan’s Bismillah Khan was named the best player of the event with Mudassar Nazir of Sindh taking the honours for the top-scorer and Punjab’s Mohammad Awais being named the best goalkeeper.
