MIRAMSHAH: Three people were killed and 12 others injured over a land dispute in Mohammad Khel village of Boya tehsil of North Waziristan tribal district on Monday.

Two families had a longstanding land dispute. However, on Monday morning the dispute turned ugly when both sides suddenly started attacks on each other with axes, knives and sticks. As a result, three people were killed and 12 other got injuries. The injured, two of them in precarious condition, were brought to the district headquarters hospital, Miramshah.

According to locals, both the families were close relatives but a land dispute had been running between them for long which turned violent on Monday, causing deaths and injuries.
