Senator Bangash passes away

ISLAMABAD: PPP Senator Haji Saifullah Bangash died of heart failure at a private hospital on Thursday. He was 70. Family members told Dawn that the senator was suffering from lung infection and faced difficulty in breathing.

A businessman by profession, Mr Bangash had won Senate elections in March 2012 on a PPP ticket. He was among those 54 senators who are set to retire on March 11. He belonged to Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The lawmaker leaves behind his wife, five sons and three daughters.

He will be laid to rest at H-11 graveyard, Islamabad on Friday.
