Roger Federer won a sixth Australian Open, beating Marin Cilic in the final for his 20th Grand Slam title Sunday.

The Swiss defending champion dropped his only sets of the tournament to beat the Croatian sixth seed 6-2, 6-7 (5/7), 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 in 3hr 3min on Rod Laver Arena.

It was the record 20th grand slam title of the legendary Swiss player, who at the ripe-old age of 36 is showing no signs of slowing down.

The victory also sees Federer defend his Australian Open title.

He has now won the tournament six times, which draws him level with Roy Emerson and Novak Djokovic as the event's most decorated champion.
