Four officials of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), including a deputy director and an assistant director, were arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday in connection with a case pertaining to the illegal allotment of land in Islamabad.
The arrested officials were identified by the FIA as Deputy Director General Abdul Salam Shah, Assistant Director Asghar Ali, Administration Officer Raja Shoaib Mallal and Assistant Mubashir Hussain Shah.
A first information report (FIR) was registered against a total of 14 accused regarding the illegal allotment of plots in Sector I-11/2, Islamabad.
Separately, an FIA official was booked for obtaining a job in the agency after submitting fake educational documents.
An FIR registered by FIA Islamabad on Tuesday read that FIA's Quetta Deputy Director Noman Ashraf Bodla had submitted provisional documents, attested illegally by a Higher Education Commission official, at the time of his appointment.
However, even after 13 years of service, Bodla failed to produce his recognised degree and substantiate his eligibility for the post, the FIR said.
