ATM out of order: Bilawal

ISLAMABAD: The country’s political spectrum saw all sorts of reactions to Friday’s decision by the Supreme Court, which exonerated Imran Khan but disqualified his aide Jahangir Tareen.

Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s immediate reaction was tongue-in-cheek. “ATM out of order #TareenOUT,” he tweeted, referring to the popular impression that the lawmaker from Lodhran was bankrolling his party’s campaign activities.

Mr Khan’s ally and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed hailed the SC decision, suggesting that Imran Khan should re-marry Jemima Khan, as she had stood by him in his hour of need. “Jemima helped Imran Khan win the case and for that I salute her,” he said.

MQM-Pakistan chief Farooq Sattar also hailed the decision and urged all stakeholders to give the judgement all due respect.
