DI KHAN: Six persons were killed and as many injured in separate road accidents here on Friday.

According to Rescue 1122 officials, a bike collided with a container on the Draban Road near Sago area, in which two brothers and driver of the truck were killed. The brothers — Hassan and Khalid — were coming home on their motorcycle when it collided with a container coming from the opposite direction. The truck driver tried his best to save the motorcyclists and in the effort his vehicle rammed into a roadside tree, resulting in his death. The bodies were shifted to the district headquarters hospital, Dera.

The second accident took place on the Indus Highway near Ramak where a car and a tractor-trolley had a collision, killing two persons and injuring five others, all boarding the car and belonging to the same family. The car driver was killed on the spot, while a child succumbed to injuries while being taken to hospital. The car was coming from Punjab.

A motorcyclist was killed and two others got injuries when two bikes collided on Maddi road near Garah Hayat.
