Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto claimed that conspiracies were being hatched against democracy, he was addressing a rally in Hyderabad on Wednesday to mark to the 10th anniversary of Karsaz blasts.
He went on to accuse the PML-N of upholding a corrupt system that exploits the poor and declared that PPP's struggle is against that unfair system.
In a fiery speech, the PPP chief said that his party has been facing challenges against dictators since its inception. Bilawal said that PPP's founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto along with his supporters, that included students and labourers, had struggled against General Ayub Khan and later against General Zaiul Haq.
"After the death of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Zia thought the PPP was no more. But how could the daughter abandon her people when her father had not?"
Recalling Benazir Bhutto's return to Pakistan on October 18, 2007, Bilawal said that the carnage on Karsaz Road that night was a significant example of PPP's sacrifices. He claimed that Musharraf could not stop a "sea of people" from coming out on the streets to welcome Benazir.
After Benazir's death, Bilawal claimed that former president Asif Zardari had "battled" those who were against democracy and strengthened the system. Yet, conspiracies against democracy had not ended, Bilawal lamented.
Criticising the PML-N government, the PPP chairman said that laws to protect an individual are being passed, apparently referring to the recent legislation passed by the Senate.
He said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had visited Karachi four times during his four years in office and promised billions of rupees for Sindh, but that amount was never delivered.
"Where are the two billion rupees that were promised for Thar?" he demanded. "The motorway that was built in Sindh is already ruined. The province doesn't get enough water.
"It is the PPP government that works in Sindh," he claimed.

Anyways good luck with ur politics and conspirator...after all we all are in one form or others nothing but conspirators ...cos this country never progressed... this regression is the proof of incompetence or may be in your views conspiracy...

Second, Zulfiquar Bhutto deceived Ayub Khan the person who brought him up in limelight.
Third, a justice by nature that the same person, Zia--ul-hqaue who Bhutto named his COAS hanged him. Where were yours supporters at that time to take a stand against Zia?
You need to grow up in politics. Please let Pakistan get on a progressive path. Talk your father out from politics too. Thanks

I don' t clearly understand what he is saying. If I were the chairman of a political party I would focus on providing goals he would achieve with a time frame. For example, elimination of electricity shortage by 2019, reduction of poverty by 30% by 2020. Additionally, I would provide details on how his party would achieve the goal.

The last government of PPP was the era in the history of Pakistan. It was a failure in all aspects. Crime was rampant likes there’s no tomorrow, massive economic regression, vast corruption ... the environment was extremely negative and depressing, it was suffocating to live in Pakistan.

Salam Sir - I am a witness to what happened at Karsaz. I happen to land at Karachi airport from Turkey that night. Airport was deserted and no cabs were available either. I somehow managed to reach home thru Karsaz, where the incident took place few hours ago that day. Question in my mind - while one can always talk of conspiracies being created / hatched, but in Sindh PPP + MQM are ruling for more than 2 decades. What stops them unearthing those conspiracies which lead to Karsaz incident, or Murtaza's brutal assassination, or burning of live lawyers!

It's a statement from a person who have lost much of the credibility of his once dominated party due to corruption of party stalwarts like chairperson Asif zardari and company in the fore front. Mismanagement in Sindh and all that stuff. I do not know why national media is giving so much importance to these spent forces, who are no where to contribute any thing meaningful for the nation but always looking for chance to make quick bucks from national kitty. I am confident next election will bury all these corrupt elements once for all.

Self appreciation by both the ruling parties, nothing in reality. The standard of living of general common people down, inflation high, corruption high, unwarranted,uncalled for cabinet meetings abroad at tax payers money. Trade deficit high, but the two major political parties are not prepared to acknowledge their shortfalls, instead again & again orchestrating their own definitions of their own style democracy. The strangest and amazing democracy can only be seen in Pakistan, where political workers do not hesitate to bully courts, and lawyers slaps police officers.

Salam Sir - this theory of conspiracies being hatched are as old as Pakistan. Qarsaz incident took place 10 years ago. I happen to land in Karachi that night from Turkey. Airport was deserted and no cab. Somehow I managed to get home thru Qarsaz of course. Sindh is being ruled for last 20 years by PPP and MQM. Who is not able to unearth the conspiracy of that incident, or Murtaza Bhutto's brutal assassination or live burning of lawyers!
