Search operation conducted

ISLAMABAD: The capital police and other security agencies have started conducting search operations in different parts of the city to ensure peace during Muharram processions.

The police, Rangers and other law enforcement agencies conducted a search operation in various areas of Aabpara as the largest procession in the city will start and culminates there. During the search operation, five suspects were taken into custody and two motorcycles impounded.

Senior Superintendent of Police Sajid Kiani said the purpose of the search operation and high vigilance was to ensure foolproof security in Muharram. He directed all the SHOs to continue the search operations.

He also appealed to the citizens to remain vigilant and inform the police in case of any suspicious activity around them.
