LANDI KOTAL: Eight passengers were injured when a van collided with car in Jamrud here on Thursday.

The Khasadar officials said that the accident took place on the main Peshawar-Torkham highway near Ali Masjid. The injured were taken to a local hospital. They said that the accident occurred due to speeding.

Meanwhile, the Jamrud political administration arrested a Khasadar official and lodged him in the Jamrud lockup for misuse of official authority. Officials said that a Khasadar party, led by Malik Zakir and Akhtar Munir, started dismantling solar panels fixed atop some shops near Jamrud stadium on the pretext of removing encroachments.
