ISLAMABAD, Aug 13: The Central Board of Revenue has promoted 63 officials of income tax and customs group from BS-17 to BS-18.
According to the notifications issued on Wednesday, the CBR promoted 37 assistant commissions of income tax to deputy commissioner of income tax. They are: Muhammad Wasim Altaf, Zulfiqar Hussain Khan, Muhammad Abid Raza, Ms Lubna Khan, Nasir Iqbal, Shah Khan, Zahoor Ahmad Panhwar, Talha Aziz Khan, Muhammad Farrukh Majid Khan, Mohammad Umar Zulfiqar Khan, Ms Aram Sarwar, Ms Humaira Maryam, Muhammad Nabeel Rana, Ms Tahira Sabeen, Syeda Adeela Bokhari, Tariq Shamsher Junejo, Hazoor Bux Leghari, Muhammad Hanif Sheikh, Shakeel Ahmad, Mehtab Ali Bangash, Qazi Hifzur Rehman, S. Hassan Ahmad, G.R. Manoori, Rizwan Ullah Khan, Muhammad Ghiasuddin, Allah Bux Awan, Ghulam Nabi Tahir, Ahsan Ali Shah, Abdul Majeed Malik, Faqir Hussain, Mohsin Khan, Riaz Hussain Shah, Muhammad Ali, Taj Muhammad Junejo, Saleem Haider, Akbar Ali and Pervez Iqbal.
The CBR promoted 26 assistant collectors of customs and excise group to deputy collectors. They are: Muhammad Zubair Yousafani, Ms Seema Raza Bokhari, Mirza Mubashir Baig, Ch. Muhammad Javed, Malik Kamran Azam Khan Rajar, Ihsan Ali Shah,
Ms Naureen Ahmad Tarar,Syed Asad Raza Rizvi,Irfan Javed, Ms Qurat-ul-Ain Dogar, Shafqat Hayat Hottiana, Ms Ambreen Tarar, Hassan Saqib Sheikh, Muhammad Mohsin Rafiq, Muhammad Saqif Saeed, Muhammad Jamil
Nasir Khan, Dr Tahir Qureshi, Dr Muhammad Nadeem Memon, Khalil Ibrahim Yousfani, Abdul Rehman Rind, Abu Nasr Shuja Akram, Amjad-ur-Rehman, Raza, Samiul Haq, Munib Sarwar and Ms Saadia Naseem.
Through another notification, the CBR also appointed three assistant collectors as deputy collectors on acting charges — Abdul Waheed Marwat, Shafqat Ali Khan Niazi and Usman Bajwa.
TRANSFER & POSTINGS: The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has transferred and posted three members.
According to a notification issued on Wednesday, the board transferred Member Sales Tax Ramzan Bhatti and posted him as Member Customs.
Director General Inspection and Internal Audit (Customs, ST and CE) Shahid Ahmad transferred and posted as Member Sales Tax.
Member Customs Zafarul Majeed transferred and posted as Director General Inspection and Internal Audit (Customs, ST and CE), Islamabad.
Surprisingly, the CBR has changed those line members who have shown good performance by achieving their revenue targets during 2002-03.
Similarly, Secretary Mohammad Idris Khan has been appointed Chief Administration, CBR.
