DADU: A local Pakistan Peoples Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB) activist was shot dead allegedly by his brother and two uncles in Qadir Bakhsh Brohi village, some 30 kilometres from here, on Thursday.

Dadu SSP Shabbir Sethar told local reporters that Sikandar Brohi, along with his two associates, ambushed his brother, Jan Mohammed Brohi, who was riding a motorcycle, at the link road leading to the village and fired at him. He said the two brothers had a dispute over share in 20 acres of land situated within the village. The SSP said that the police were trying to track down the attackers.

Dadu DSP Rasool Bakhsh Siyal said that the victim died on the spot. His upper torso was burnt as it lay on the motorcycle, which caught fire during the gunfire, he added. The DSP claimed that Sikandar’s associates in the crime were his uncles.
