KARACHI: Despite a superb spell of pace-bowling from Abdullah Afzal, Bay View College suffered a nail-biting defeat by two runs against Cedar College in their fourth Bilal Bhaty Inter-school/college T20 cricket tournament match at the Vital Five Ground here on Tuesday.

Abdullah picked up five wickets for 18 runs in four overs as Cedar College were all out for 75, a total which included 36 off 42 balls (two boundaries) by Ajdar Ahmed Qureshi.

Bay View, in reply, were restricted to 73-8 with Ehras Noman making a 37-ball 25.

Slow left-armer Azam Khawar excelled with four wickets for just seven runs in three overs.

Abdullah was later declared man-of-the-match.
