ISLAMABAD: A man committed suicide by hanging himself on Tuesday, police said.

The incident took place at government quarters in G-7/3-4 allocated to a naib qasid from the Foreign Office stationed in Afghanistan.

The deceased, Kamil Mirdil, committed suicide by hanging and was discovered by his family members.

The body was later taken to a hospital for legal processing.

Police said the motive behind the act has yet to be ascertained, and the victim’s family has not given a statement to the police.

The victim was married a year ago and his wife resides in the United Kingdom, they said.
