RAWALPINDI: Army, police and intelligence agencies continued their door-to-door search operation in the cantonment and adjoining areas on Sunday.
In the meanwhile, the police booked 34 people for not registering their tenants. Another man was held for walk chalking.
The joint search operation was conducted in the adjoining areas of the Rawalpindi railway station during which the focus was mainly on tenants and those staying in hotels and inns.
Intelligence agencies had already asked the civic authorities to remove vendors and other stallholders from near sensitive government buildings and other installations near the railway station, but they remained unmoved.
On the other hand, the police registered separate cases against 34 people for not registering their tenants with the police. The 34 people included owners of hotels and a restaurant.
A painter, identified as Fida, was booked by the Gunjmandi police on the charge of wall chalking.
