Stakeholders’ budget proposals will be considered: Dar

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar is chairing a meeting on budget-related matters on Saturday.

ISLAMABAD: Opinions, proposals and constructive suggestions from all stakeholders and experts would be taken into account while preparing the budget, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said on Saturday.

Chairing a meeting to review the proposed calendar of events and other matters related to federal budget 2017-18, the minister said that wellbeing of the general public would be ensured and accorded the utmost priority.

The minister expressed his satisfaction with the progress of various activities and emphasised the importance of completing all the scheduled activities in a timely manner.

He directed the officials concerned to ensure that budget preparations were undertaken as per timelines, with due consideration to Ramzan timings.

He stressed on the need for close coordination between the Ministry of Finance and other ministries and departments for budget preparation.

Finance Secretary, Tariq Bajwa gave a briefing on the proposed schedule.

Senior officials of the finance ministry were also present in the meeting.
