GUJRANWALA: Federal Minister for Railways Khwaja Saad Rafique has alleged that PTI Chairman Imran Khan used vulgar language against Nawaz Sharif.

The PTI chief had used foul language outside the Supreme Court and nobody arrested him, he said.

“Imran should decide whether he will face the PML-N in the court or outside it. The behaviour of Imran and Jhangir Tareen can be seen in the court as they never sit constantly during the proceedings,” said Mr Rafique while addressing a PML-N workers convention here on Monday.

Imran had blamed Khwaja Asif, Daniyal Aziz and him on baseless grounds, he said and added that the PTI chief had introduced a culture of vulgarity in the country.

Mr Rafique said the PML-N government had taken steps for eradicating extremism and terrorism from the country and uplifting the economy.

“The previous governments had failed in raising the living standards of the masses. The PML-N took remedies for it and now the rapid progress will make it an exemplary country in the world,” he said.

Mr Rafique also criticised Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, saying the hard work of the PPP co-chairman would benefit the PML-N, saying the PML-N would launch a campaign in Sindh and promote its vision there.

Talking about the Jamaat-i-Islami, Saad Rafique asked its leader whether they were with the PML-N or the PTI because the party was cooperating with the PML-N in Kashmir but it was supporting the PTI in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Federal Minster for Information Maryam Aurangzeb said when a group of 200 people had failed to prove their capabilities in KP, how they could serve and bring about a change in the country.

Talking about Maryam Nawaz, she said sincere workers of the PML-N would protect her from enemies.

Ex- MNA Hanif Abbasi, PML-N leader Ghulam Dastgir, MNA Usman Ibrahim, Rana Umer Nazir, Mian Tariq Mahmood, Shazia Sohail Mir, MPAs Abdul Rauf Mughal and Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal Gujjar were also present.

ROBBERIES: Two unidentified motorcyclists robbed a petrol station cashier of Rs12,000 in the Qila Didar Singh police area.

The armed robbers came to the petrol station on a motorcycle and asked the cashier, Usman, to hand them over the cash. They snatched Rs12,000 from him and escaped.

In another incident, two robbers snatched Rs35,000 from a shopkeeper at Tatliali.

The robbers approached the shop of Abdul Ghafar in a car and entered it in the guise of customers. They manhandled the shopkeeper and took away Rs35,000 from him.
