GHALANAI: Unknown miscreants blew up a community primary school for boys in Michnai Mosal Kor area of Ekkaghund tehsil in the wee hours of Thursday.
Official sources in Mohmand Agency said that some unknown miscreants had planted an explosive device at the building of community model primary school for boys of Malik Nasir Khan in Mosal Kor area at night which exploded with a bang early on Thursday. They said that one room of the school was completely destroyed.
In the same area, unknown miscreants planted an explosive device at the main gate of house of a local transporter, identified as Kala Khan. They said that one room of his house was extensively damaged in the blast. However, no loss of life was reported in the incident.
Naib tehsildar, Ekkaghund, Amir Nawaz confirmed the incident, saying that the school was closed and there was no loss of life in the blast.
In Tank, a watchman was injured when unknown miscreants targeted the basic health unit in Gomal area with an explosive device while a hand-grenade was hurled at a house in Garah Shehbaz on Thursday.
According to police, unknown miscreants planted a remote-controlled bomb on the roof of a washroom of BHU in Kot Hakeem, Gomal area, which exploded at 7:00am. As a result, the watchmen suffered injuries. He was taken to the DHQ hospital, Tank. The police said that the washroom was destroyed in the incident.
Meanwhile, unknown miscreants hurled a hand grenade at the house of one Mohammad Ramazan. However, no loss of life or property was reported.
