Fourteen activists and supporters of Muttahida Qaumi Movement - London (MQM-L) have been remanded to judicial custody on Saturday by an anti-terrorism court (ATC).
Hyderabad's Fort police produced the accused workers before the ATC which sent them to judicial custody for 14 days. The activists were arrested on Friday while protesting in the Pakka Qila area.
The FIR, nominating 20 activists, was lodged against a total of 250 people, with the rest unidentified.
Earlier on Friday, around half a dozen activists of MQM - London were taken into custody after a heavy contingent of police resorted to teargas shelling and baton charge against them when they raised pro-Altaf slogans at Pakka Qila after Friday prayers.
Around 1,000 people gathered at the graves of their slain workers after entering the Qilla from its rear side.
Protesters also pelted police officials with stones. A case was also registered at Fort police station under sections 6/7 of ATA against the protesters.

These futile steps by establishment cannot stop people's support for Altaf Hussain. This is a reality and it has to be accepted sooner or later. There is a big NO from masses for Minus Altaf.

This is insane that people are arrested for gathering and chanting slogans . People in interior Sindh and Punjab attack police stations but are never arrested or sentenced ! This is a mockery of our political system .

MQM is the brainchild of Altaf and people became MNAs , MPAs , Senators , Councillors , Chairman and Mayors because of Altaf Hussein . No one can claim anything near to his charisma and influence . Farooq Sattar is just sipping from the ocean of Altaf power and authority !

@Pakistan Would name change bring any magic to Farooq Sattar or to his party ? The magic lies with AH and MQM ! Farooq Sattar is enjoying the meal cooked by AH and he has ruined his political career for the sake of 24 months of leadership . Pakistan is full of such people like Chaudary Shujahat , Nanxot Watoo, Nasir Chatta , Zafarullah Jamali , Ghulam Jatoi and many more . Short term sights leads to lond term implications .

Is it not true that LEAs in Urban Sindh are completely politicized? Is it not true that people belonging to a certain ethnicity are deprived of their rights? Is it not true that elected Mayors of Urban Sindh has no power? Sense of deprivation among masses is not good for Pakistan. Lets forget the past and move forward for Pakistan because for all of us the goal should be "Sab Se Pehle Pakistan"

It is within Pakistan's and Sindh's power to make MQM and Altaf Hussain irrelevant if they only deal with Urdu speaking in Sindh fairly. a. Remove the divide between the rural and urban Sindh, b. Restore the full authority of and funding local governments of urban Sindh, c. Stop interfering in the local politics, d. Disband the employment and educational quota Sindh. But fairness and justice is the farthest thing from their mind.

@Sab Se Pehle Pakistan - If "the one who has looted billions are roaming freely with VIP protocols" doesn't mean we should let off every crime. By the same token one can say why Altaf is roaming free when he has multiple cases in Pakistan.
Two wrongs don't make a right. As far as looted billions are concerned, you know we both support accountability.
