Toll plaza

Published December 10, 2016

ISLAMABAD toll plaza was shifted to its new location about two months back. Ever since its relocation, one can witness long queues of vehicles, especially on weekends. The blockade is seen much higher on the Peshawar-Islamabad route.

Commuters face hardships and are not able to enjoy travelling on the motorway and prefer GT Road.

In order to cope with the situation (a short-term solution), the Motorway, authorities should allow traffic to pass through the toll plaza without the the toll tax.

This is no solution to the problem. There seems no wisdom in designing and planning the toll plaza where commuters are stuck. The authorities should look into this and take steps to facilitate the traffic flow.
