Political acumen

Published December 7, 2016

I AGREE with those who say Imran Khan must ‘learn to master the art of politics’ to fill up the gap in leadership. Asif Ali Zardari has made history and we thank him for that. Bilawal, though working very hard, has a long way to go to Pakistanise himself before he can deliver results.

Nawaz Sharif and his party men will have to learn to tell the truth in a synchronised way and do better than they are doing now to cover up corruption. It appears his days are numbered.

Our only hope is Imran Khan who, however, will have to acquire political acumen, stop being matinee hero, rely on performance rather than slogans and get himself free from some tried politicians around him, he should better know the real problems faced by the people and adopt policies to resolve them.

If he is honest, he will prove himself to be the saviour of Pakistan. What is to be monitored is to mark whether he is incorruptible?
