KHAIRPUR: Two suspects declared absconders in the Oct 31, 2015 gun battle case that had left 11 people dead and many others wounded in Daraza Sharif voluntarily surrendered themselves before the Khairpur antiterrorism court on Monday.

Bashir Ahmed Junejo and Sikandar Ali Junejo were nominated in the case soon after the attack and counter attack involving two rival parties during the polling for the first phase of local government elections in the city, which houses the shrine of revered Sufi Saint Sachal Sarmast.

The court granted the two suspects an interim bail in a sum of Rs500,000 each.
