Anyone challenging state's writ will be dealt according to law, warns Khawaja Asif

Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Friday said if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) challenges the writ of state then action would be taken against them according to law.
“PTI had planned to attack national institutions on the pretext of protest gathering in the federal capital as previously it had attacked the Parliament and Pakistan Television buildings during last sit-in in 2014, Asif said while talking to a TV channel.
The defence minister said the PML-N government had showed patience during PTI and PAT sit-ins at D-Chowk in 2014.
He said that army has not been deployed in the federal capital this time around, as “police is our first line of defence”.
“Police will be deployed for safety of national institutions, citizens and students during the PTI's protest on November 2, he added.
Commenting on Sheikh Rasheed’s entry earlier in the day, Asif said: “He came on motorcycle at Committee Chowk and addressed only few people and went back.”
The public court is the biggest court for people's representatives and the masses will decide in 2018 general elections that which political party was better for them and the country, he maintained.
He was of the view that the national economy has further strengthened due to prudent policies of the incumbent government.

Actions taken by the government against the political workers and leaders of PTI during the last 2 days are clearly misuse of power. Arrests without cause or without court warrants and restricting movement of citizens can neither be considered as democratic nor lawful. Section 144 from the British times should be discarded because this rule is in violation of the international human rights charter and has no place in a modern democracy

"First Line of Defense" against who? Your own people! Why defense minister is commenting on internal issues? This is a matter for Interior Minister.
Imran Khan should also learn to do something other than protests and agitations. It is about time that PTI prepare for the next elections and work for a better election system for 2018. Right now, PTI should focus on KPK development.

I don't care what happens on 2/11. However, one thing is for sure that the pml(n) lot have completely lost the plot. The next election is in 2018, so they are digging holes and deep holes for themselves. Once this government completes the tenure, I doubt they would return to power. What they are doing now. Everyone should obey the laws of the state. The Govt.should try to resolve the Panama Leaks and the oppositions should not siege or shut down the capital of the country. The case is now in the highest court of the Land so all parties must wait for the verdict.The Democracy is a Two-way street both parties should follow some rules.

The people of Pakistan are proud to be challenging all those who in fact had violated the writ of financial discipline,and tax regimes,and deprived the nation revenue of billions of rupees,by covertly slipping out huge money from Pakistan to Panama well known paradise for tax evaders and money launderers,and later bought properties in London.The writ must be exercised against all violators with equal force across the board .Unfortunately the government instead of appreciating the protestors for their nobel agitation for recovery of looted money,are punishing the people who in fact are agitating to revive the discipline of financial writ,against the violators and dodgers of tax regime.

I agree with the fact that the government couldn't take another chance of allowing protesters storm government buildings and cause damage; like the 2014 mess. PTI should rethink it's strategy and protest in a civilized manner. At the same time, government should refrain from brutal use of force, show maturity, respects basic rights and allow peaceful demonstrations when called upon.

PTI is unable to demonstrate their distinguishing edge over the old timers - in this tenure they have the opportunity but they are falling short in building and showing KPK as a model of good governance. Whilst this doesn't give an excuse to the government, however, there ia lot of desperation and unnecessary noise to oust the prime minister. This culture of agitation is not good anyway for the political system and this immaturity invites more serious trouble.
