PESHAWAR: PML-N central senior vice president Amir Muqam on Saturday asked PTI chairman Imran Khan not to create political chaos in the country over Panama Leaks case and wait for the Supreme Court’s decision on the matter.

“After the Supreme Court issued notices to respondents in the Panama Papers case, there is no rationale for Islamabad lockdown as planned by the PTI,” he told a party meeting here.

Mr. Muqam, who is also an adviser to the prime minister, said the PTI chief was not sincere about fulfilling his political commitment otherwise he would have ensured real socioeconomic change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through his government.

He criticised the PTI government for failing to deliver the goods in KP and said people in all districts of the province had turned against the ruling party over bad governance.

The PML-N leader said Imran Khan had announced the construction of 360 dams in the province but he couldn’t build even as many wells during the three years tenure.

He flayed the government’s ‘poor’ education and health policies and said things in public sector hospitals and schools had got worse during the last three years.

Mr. Muqam said the PTI’s popularity was on the decrease across the province, which was evident from the results of various by-elections held in the recent past.

“We think Imran Khan is a man of U-turns. He will return from Islamabad after the lockdown’s failure,” he said.
