KOLKATA: New Zealand bowled India out for 263 in their second innings of the second Test in Kolkata on Monday, leaving them with a daunting target of 376 as they battle to save the three-match series.

India, 227 for eight overnight, rode on Wriddhiman Saha’s unbeaten 58 to stretch India’s second innings lead in the morning session of the fourth day.

Trent Boult, Matt Henry and Mitchell Santner claimed three wickets each on a seemingly two-paced track at Kolkata's Eden Gardens.

Overnight batsmen Saha and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (23) put together a 36-run ninth-wicket stand as India eye a series-clinching victory after winning last week's opening Test in Kanpur.

Rohit Sharma was the top-scorer for the hosts after his dominant 82 on Sunday. Skipper Virat Kohli also contributed with his purposeful 45.

Sharma put on 103 runs for the seventh wicket with Saha to counter the New Zealand seam attack, who had reduced the hosts to 106 for six on the third day.
