MULTAN: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested four militants near the railway station on Thursday and seized eight grenades from them.

Ammunition was later defused by the bomb disposal squad.

CTD sources said the arrested people were Pashtu speaking.

EDHI: Bahauddin Zakariya University Vice-Chancellor Dr Tahir Amin inaugurated a newly-constructed hostel on Thursday, which has been named after the late humanitarian, Abdul Sattar Edhi, to pay homage to him.

At a ceremony, Dr Amin said the university ranked fourth among the six universities of the country in the top 800 universities of the world in 2015-16.

He said that with the university appearing on the worldwide ranking began a new era. Up to 134 rooms besides a mess hall, a hall for indoor games and a TV hall have been constructed in the hostel.
