MANSEHRA: A man and a woman were killed allegedly for honour in separate incidents and their bodies were dumped in forests on the outskirts of Mansehra city.

A man killed his wife with the help of his father and two brothers and threw her body in the Barda forest.

The police claimed arresting all the four suspects. “The men after killing the woman threw her body in the jungle and pretended that she was at her father’s residence,” Amir Khan, the SHO of Saddar police, told reporters on Saturday.

He said mutilated body of the victim woman was taken to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, and later handed over to family after autopsy.

According to an FIR lodged with police by the victim’s father, the woman had gone to her father’s home after developing differences with her husband. He said the suspects had taken her back on Sept 12, but they later killed her.

Sources at the hospital said the body was beyond recognition as suspects had thrown acid on her face.

In another incident, body of a man allegedly killed for honour, was found in the Gazikot jungle.

Police said he was suspected to having illicit relations with a girl of the attackers’ family.

“The girl’s relatives called the victim to meet them in a nearby forest in Gazikot, and there they killed him,” Mohammad Saeed, SHO city police told reporters.

He said all the suspects had been arrested who confessed to their crime during preliminary investigation.
