LAHORE: A senior official cricket scorer of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Abdul Hameed died here due to heart attack and laid to rest at a local graveyard on Friday. He was 55.

Hameed has been involved in scoring for international and domestic matches for 27 years.

The deceased like other scorers was frustrated due to Pakistan’s holding of matches in the UAE.

All scorers have appealed to the PCB to appoint them during Pakistan’s home series in the UAE. They were also hopeful for their roles during the Pakistan Super League, which was held in the UAE in February this year, but the PCB ignored them.

Meanwhile, PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan, Executive Committee chairman Najam Sethi and chief operating officer Subhan Ahmed have expressed their condolences.
