KARACHI: The Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, on Sunday claimed to have busted a gang allegedly involved in kidnapping of women in Punjab.

Acting on a tip-off, the paramilitary force and Rangers Special Task Force carried out a joint action in an area in Jacobabad and arrested two suspects involved in kidnapping of women belonging to Punjab, according to a Rangers spokesperson.

The held suspects identified as Punhal and Rajab had kidnapped two women in Multan and brought them to Jacobabad and demanded a ransom from their families.

The relatives of the kidnapped women approached the Rangers, who conducted a targeted raid and recovered both women. The held kidnappers were later on handed over to police for further legal action, said the Rangers press statement.
